The Student Assistance and Family Empowerment Program (SAFE) was established by Orange County Public Schools in 1986 in order to comply with the Safe and Drug Free Schools Community Act. This program offers direct help and resources for students and families. SAFE also offers students a confidential and safe place to go if students need someone to talk to or need help resolving their problems. The goal of SAFE is to provide a comprehensive continuum of prevention and intervention services in the areas of alcohol, tobacco, drugs and violence.
The SAFE office located in room 701-C, also deals with school crisis and implements programs at South Creek Middle School that help to promote non-violent, healthy and drug-free lifestyles.
This year we will have a “SAFE Ambassador Club: "Be the Change that you want to see in the world"
This group of students shares the common goal of wanting to create a more peaceful, drug free school environment.
They help to implement a variety of prevention and awareness activities to try to reach this goal.

National Block It Out Day (November 7) (Block It Out Day is not about likes vs. dislikes. This day is about POSITIVITY!)
