Tardies

Each student received and reviewed the Orange County Public School Code of Student Conduct. This document is reviewed with all students each nine weeks. The Code of Conduct states that it is the student's responsibility to "be on time".

  • Students who arrive late to school are required to report to the Attendance Office.

  • A student who is not in his/her assigned class at the beginning of each period will be considered tardy.

  • Periodic tardy checks will be held by the administration to encourage all students to get to class on time.

All students will begin each nine weeks with zero violations

Violations

Consequences

1st The classroom teacher reminds the student and documents the offense in the Discipline Database.
2nd The classroom teacher reminds the student and documents the offense in the Discipline Database. The classroom teacher will make parental contact (if possible). Classroom detention at teacher's discretion.
3rd All of the above. Classroom teacher consequence may or may not be a referral. Classroom teacher will request a Parent and Teacher Conference.
4th The classroom teacher will write a referral.
